"My lovely nineteen year old horse Holly had an accident as a youngster and has had various treatments during her life to deal with the after effects. It was obvious during the winter that she was not right. Although not lame, she was stiff and her stride had shortened. She also just didn’t seem to be her usual self; she had lost her sparkle. I found Jessica through the Mercian Riding Club Facebook page and arranged for her to come out. I am always very worried about having anyone new to Holly, but I didn't need to be concerned. It was obvious after the first few minutes of the treatment that Holly totally trusted Jessica and was feeling benefits of the session. The following day her stride was longer and more fluid. Her head carriage had lifted and she had lost the anxious look around her eyes. She had a follow up treatment a week later and another after a month. The improvement continued during these treatments and the effects have lasted. She will now have 6 monthly top up treatments to keep her in good shape. Some people say their horse’s behaviour is better after treatments. I’m pleased to say that Holly’s is not. I have got my funny, stroppy, bolshy mare back fully enjoying life again.
